Your photo reminds me of something I was told when I lived in Chicago (something that I hope was an urban legend): specifically, never live in an apartment above the 7th floor, because the Chicago Fire Department’s ladders don’t reach any higher. I often thought of this when I visited friends who live on a much (much) higher floor in the Hancock Tower.
