Light-haired, pink-skinned animals are as sensitive to the hot sun as fair-complected people. Glad to see his tender lil paws protected from the sizzling pavement.
As decks can be slippery, we tried to convince our dog that booties with rubber soles would be the perfect boat shoes. He wore them for about 30 seconds before pulling them off and spitting them out in disgust. Since then, he has learned that “coming about” means he must move from one comfortable leeward spot to the other in rhythm with the tack. He reminds us daily that he’s not as stupid as he looks.
